About the founders
Roger Ellis is well known to many in the Industry having served as IT Director for the leading FTSE 100 Company, Blue Circle Industries PLC, for twelve years, leaving in 2000 before the takeover by Lafarge. Before that he also spent sixteen years with the Gulf Oil Corporation, holding senior managerial positions in in London, Rome and Houston. In total he has spent over 35 years in the Industry.
Roger is also currently Treasurer for ELITE, the IT Director’s arm of the British Computer Society, having previously spent two years as its Chairman. He is also a Liveryman of the City Livery Company, the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, a Fellow of the Institute for the Management of Information Systems and the British Computer Society and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Computer Weekly.
Married with two children, he lives in Buckinghamshire.
Julie
Loveday has spent most of her career in the sales environment, both in leading
service and supplier organisations where she gained an enviable reputation and
won several internal awards. In the last few years she has particularly concentrated
on IT Security matters and has developed an indepth knowledge of both the market
and the viable solutions available.
However prior to this she also spent several successful years in managerial
positions in purchasing, holding multi-million pound budgets and still remains
a member of the Institute of Purchasing and Supply. Julie also qualified more
recently in Project Management using the Prince 2 methodology. Throughout her
career she has come into regular contact, and worked closely with, many leading
IT Directors, many of whom have become good friends.
Married with two children, she lives in North Yorkshire.
